Head of Procurement

Overview:

The Head of Procurement is responsible for developing a strategic approach to procurement and management process for the purchase of goods and services. In this leadership role, the successful candidate will direct the procurement of goods and services for the client; assist Procurement team members and colleagues with procurement processes, change and updates other procurement-related activities; develop and/or update procurement policies and procedures; and develop a centralized procurement program that will add value and efficiency to the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Improve the existing procurement system and strategy
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to design and execute procurement flow and process
• Build relationships with external partners and vendors with a purpose to sourcing the best procurement services
• Create a procedure, template, form, and any documentation related to procurement process
• Sourcing, pitching, negotiating, and managing all administration processes related to procurement activities
• Experience in collaborating with a team of colleagues; can effectively delegate, coach, and leverage resources Leads by example, demonstrates strong work ethic, has initiative and is a self-starter. Skilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving, a creative thinker
• Establish Procurement team objectives to align with company goals and evaluate performance against established KPIs

Job Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a procurement with 8+ years of experience
• Procurement expertise with an ability to create procurement strategy and its execution
• Familiarity and experience with procurement tools and documents
• Familiarity with how budgeting works
• Ability to scale procurement processes through automation
• Lead and assist in vendor negotiations
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Exceptional talent in negotiating and networking - Solid knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
• Preferably someone who has experience in a financial or digital industry
