Principal Data Analyst

Job Description:

• Work closely with the business to structure complex and ambiguous business problems into clearly defined Data Analytics / Business Intelligence solutions
• Lead the design of analytics engineering pipeline and data model to meet business needs
• Build and maintain dashboards to track Business KPI metrics
• Derive actionable insights from data and recommend new ways of using data to inform decision-making with the senior management
• Identify and transform raw data into meaningful information that can be used to measure business performance
• Maintain high-quality technical documentation in company's internal Wiki
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientists in delivering reliable data products
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team

Qualification:

• At least 5 years of experience in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence, or related fields
• Strong analytical skills, good business acumen, and excellent communication
• Proficiency in SQL, backed up with familiarity with modern databases (MySQL, Postgres, BigQuery)
• Proficiency in Data Modelling using Kimball’s Dimensional model (Star/Snowflake schema)
• Proficiency in Data Visualization using tools such as Holistics, Looker, Redash, Power BI, Tableau, etc
• Experience with major Cloud platform (GCP / AWS / Azure)
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow is a big plus
• Python and/or R data analysis skill is a big plus
